About YieldMaple
Canada’s deal hub for credit cards, brokerages, and banking.
YieldMaple helps Canadians find the best credit card, brokerage, or bank in 60 seconds. Free, independent, updated weekly — built on hands-on, account-tested coverage.
Canadian personal finance online is split between lightly-rewritten US advice (where TFSAs don’t exist and RRSPs are treated like IRAs) and affiliate-driven roundups produced without account-level experience. YieldMaple was built to be the missing third option: a Canadian-only deal hub where every credit card, brokerage, savings account, and bank we list has been opened, funded, and used by our editorial team. If a Canadian wants to know which credit card, brokerage, or bank to use next, this is the page they should land on — and our 60-second match wizards make sure they walk away with a specific answer rather than a 2,000-word think-piece.

Editorial team
YieldMaple is led by Alex Francisco, Founder and Editor-in-Chief. Alex personally tests every product covered on the site, oversees editorial standards, and signs every published page. The YieldMaple editorial team is responsible for fact-checking, sourcing, and verifying that every fee, rate, and product detail published is accurate as of the date shown.
Every article on YieldMaple goes through this process: account opening and hands-on testing → primary research and source verification → drafting → editorial review and fact-check → publication with a Last Updated date. Where rates and fees change frequently, articles also carry a Last Verified date for the affiliate links and pricing details.
Editorial standards
- No product is reviewed without a real account. Every product covered on YieldMaple has been signed up for, funded, and used by a member of our editorial team.
- Fees are documented. Stated fees are verified against actual account statements where possible.
- Editorial integrity over commission. YieldMaple participates in affiliate programs, but commercial relationships do not influence rankings or recommendations. We will recommend the right product even when it pays us less — and we will publish negative coverage of products we have an affiliate relationship with when warranted.
- Sources are traceable. Numerical claims (contribution limits, fee schedules, dividend yields) link back to primary sources (CRA publications, provider documentation, regulatory filings) wherever possible.
- Corrections are public. If a YieldMaple article contains an error, we update the article, date the change, and acknowledge the correction. Email us at yieldmaple@gmail.com to flag any issue.
How we make money
YieldMaple is a free publication funded primarily through affiliate marketing. When a reader opens an account or applies for a product through one of our links, the company may pay us a referral commission — at no additional cost to the reader. In some cases, our links also unlock signup bonuses readers wouldn’t otherwise get.
Affiliate revenue covers our research, publishing, and operating costs and allows us to keep all content free. Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings or recommendations. Our full disclosure policy is on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
Where we are based
YieldMaple operates from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our editorial coverage is Canada-focused across all provinces and territories. Where provincial differences exist (age of majority for TFSA eligibility, provincial savings products, etc.), we note them in the relevant articles.
What we don’t do
- We don’t provide personalized financial, tax, or legal advice. YieldMaple’s editorial team are not licensed financial advisors. For decisions tailored to your situation, consult a qualified professional.
- We don’t write product coverage without firsthand testing. If we haven’t opened the account, we don’t publish the review.
- We don’t accept payment in exchange for positive coverage, ranking placement, or removal of negative information.
- We don’t publish AI-generated articles without human research, account testing, and editorial review.
- We don’t inflate welcome bonus values or bury expired offers. If a deal worsens, the page reflects it within 48 hours.
