Frequently asked questions
Are these calculators free?
Yes. Every calculator is free and needs no sign-up or email. The maths runs in your browser: nothing you type is sent to or stored by YieldMaple, and our analytics only records that a calculator was used, never your numbers.
How accurate are the results?
They are estimates built on the official rules and rates listed on each calculator page, with the date we last checked each one against the government or provider source. Your real outcome can differ because of details a calculator cannot see, such as a lender’s approval decision, your full tax return or a rule change announced after our last check.
How do you keep the rules up to date?
Every rule and rate lives in a dated data file with its official source. Each file has a review schedule matched to how often that rule changes, and each calculator page shows the last verification date and the next scheduled check. When a government announces a change, the affected files are updated and the change is logged.
Can I save or share my result?
Yes, on your own device. “Save on this device” keeps your inputs in your browser (never on our servers), “Download CSV” saves the detailed table for a spreadsheet, and “Print” produces a clean page you can save as a PDF. “Copy page link” shares the calculator itself, not your numbers.
