    Open a new Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite+ account between August 4, 2026 and November 1, 2026. Spend at least $2,000 on eligible purchases in the first 3 months to get 25,000 bonus Scene+ points, credited about 8 weeks after you qualify. There is also a separate annual bonus: 10,000 Scene+ points each year you spend at least $40,000 on eligible purchases, plus 2,000 points for every extra $10,000 spent that year. You are not eligible for the 25,000-point bonus if you held a Scotiabank personal credit card as a primary or secondary cardholder in the past 2 years (including switching from one), or if you are a Scotiabank employee. The annual fee is $150, and the offer terms list no first-year waiver of it. The first supplementary card is $0, and each one after that is $50. The Ultimate Package chequing account gives a rebate of up to $150 on the annual fee each year, and the Preferred Package gives a $40 rebate from the first card anniversary on, with at least $15,000 in purchases in the prior 12 statement periods (the first-year fee is not rebated).

Its main draw is its lack of foreign transaction fees: Scotiabank says you skip the typical 2.5% fee on purchases in a foreign currency and pay only the exchange rate. Aeroplan collectors (the Passport earns Scene+ points, not Aeroplan), and anyone who held a Scotiabank personal credit card in the past 2 years and wants the Passport welcome bonus (they're excluded). Scotiabank's own page says the card might not be right if you prefer cash back, prefer not to pay an annual fee, rarely travel or make foreign currency purchases, or will carry a balance for a long time.
